A wedding planner is an engaged couples’ new best friend. Whether it’s your wedding venue, caterer, florist, or other design details, they will help with every piece of the puzzle during the planning process.
A wedding coordinator is the person behind the curtain on your wedding day. Their main priority is to make sure that all of the pieces are put into place, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
A wedding can take over 500 hours, hundreds of emails, late-night research, and more. And that’s before you even get to the wedding. The wedding day itself includes hours of set up, coordination, and handling out of the blue issues. How can couples be expected to handle all of that themselves? A wedding planner/coordinator takes things off your plate, saving you time, energy, stress, and sometimes even money.
Great vendors are just the ingredients of an incredible wedding. A wedding planner is like a chef, a skilled hand who brings it all together.
I am a firm believer that couples should be able to focus on enjoying every moment of their day. A lot of time, effort, and money go into your wedding, and you want to be able to focus on the fun instead of sweating the small stuff. While many couples think that they can be two places at once, they often find when it comes down to it, that extra day-of stress simply isn’t worth it.
Handling someone’s wedding is a big job, and takes up most of the day. The last thing you’ll want is your bridal party or other guests setting up and focusing on the last-minute details. Instead, you’ll want them to be celebrating you and enjoying themselves.
When it comes to weddings, there is room for personal and venue coordinators. Your wedding coordinator is there to take care of you and your vision, designing your day, attending to vendors, helping to style every detail, overseeing your itinerary to keep the day flowing, and handling a thousand other significant details. Your venue provided wedding coordinator is there to take care of the venue, confirming details which only concern the venue’s best interests.
The question is, can you afford not to have a wedding planner? While you want to save in every place you can, a wedding planner/coordinator not only saves you time, energy, and headaches but can easily save you money in the long run.
All weddings—civil, religious, destination, same-sex weddings/LGBTQ.
Of course! It is actually preferred. This is your and your partners’ day, and should be done your way. Wedding Whisperer is there for whatever it is you need. I’m there to work with you, save you time and energy by taking care of all the legwork, and—of course—provide support and advice throughout the planning process.
Absolutely! I not only plan and coordinate weddings in Nova Scotia but throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond. Additional travel costs do apply for weddings outside of the HRM.
This isn’t an issue at all! I’m more than happy to attend vendor visits on your behalf, prepare vision boards with local inspiration, and have virtual chats that accommodate your timezone.
It’s my job to anticipate problems before they happen and fix them before you even knew they were fires. But unexpected things can happen and, if they do, I will be there to troubleshoot at a moment’s notice.
